The Word Kanzul Iman, which translates to “Treasure of Faith,” is an Urdu paraphrase of the Quran Pak. Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi, known as “Ala Hazrat”, wrote this Quran Tafseer in 1911. It is one of the best Urdu language versions of the Quran.
Now It has been translated into multiple languages like, English, Hindi, Bengali, Dutch, Turkish, Sindhi, Gujarati, and Pashto languages.
In 2006, a library named “Kanzul Iman Islamic Library” was founded in Bareilly, India, inspired by the Barelvi movement and the services of Ala Hazrat (Imam Ahmad Raza Khan).
Molana Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi(14 June 1856 – 28 October 1921) known as “Ahmed Rida Khan” in Arabic or simply “Ala-Hazrat”) was an Islamic scholar, jurist, theologian, ascetic, Sufi, Urdu poet, and reformer in British India. The Barelvi movement was founded by him. He wrote about law, religion, philosophy, and science, among other topics.
At the age of 22, he became the mureed (disciple) of Imam ul Asfiya, Shah Aale Rasool Marehrawi. In the many Sufi Silsilas, his Murshid bestowed Khilafat on him. He gave permission to a number of Islamic scholars to operate under his supervision.
Imam Ahmed Raza Khan produced a number of writings in Arabic, Persian, and Urdu. His famous work includes:
Dargah e Aalahazrat. Bareilly, or Bareilly Sharif A dargah is a tomb or monument of Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Bareilly. It is located in Bareilly City in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. He was an Islamic scholar of Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat in the 19th-century. He was known for his staunch opposition to the Wahhabis in India.
The Dome of Bareilly Sharif Dargah was designed by Shah Mehmood Jaan Qadri with the use of matchsticks. In 2014, on death anniversary, of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan, which known as Urs e Razvi, many Muslim clerics condemned the terrorism practiced by the Taliban and the ideology of the Wahhabism sect.
This place was the main site for Urs e Razavi in the past. It was very difficult for scholars and people to come every year to visit this dargah. It was impossible to handle such a large crowd every year, which came from different parts of the world. Now permission has been granted to the followers to observe the urs in different countries.
