Mishary bin Rashid Alafasy

Sheikh Mishary bin Rashid bin Gharib bin Muhammad Alafasy, a Quran reciter, imam, preacher, and Nasheed artist belongs from Kuwait. He specialized in Qiraat and Tafsir of Quran from The College of Quran, The Islamic University of Madinah.

Award

In October 2008, The Arab Creativity Oscar Award was awarded to Alafacy by the Arab Creativity Union, Egypt because of the efforts by Alafacy in the spreading knowledge of Islamic ideas, thoughts, and teachings.

In 2012, About.com Reader’s Choice Awards was awarded to Alafasy by the readers voted to be the best reciter of the Holy Quran.
