The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) journeyed on a heavenly animal named “Al-Buraq” on an unique voyage to visit the Creator of the Universe “Allah Almighty” on Shab-e-Miraj or Isra Night. The night of the “ascension” is referred to as Shab-e-Miraj. The night of Israel was a wonderful night when the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was brought to heaven and experienced a degree of closeness with Almighty Allah that was unfathomable to humans. Gabriel appeared to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with the heavenly animal “Al-Buraq” on Shab-e-Miraj. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was initially transferred from Makkah’s Masjid al-Haram to Jerusalem’s Masjid al-Aqsa. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) then began a magnificent trip into the heavens. At any time when all the Prophets embraced him and revered him with great respect, the first Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) travelled with great honour and regard to Bayt-ul-Muqaddas. In Bayt-ul-Muqaddas, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led the prayer of all the Prophets. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) toured all of the heavens and arrived in Sidra-tul-Muntaha on Shab-e-Miraj, or Isra night. No one, not even the Angel Gabriel-e-Ameen, has the capacity to go further; only Allah has given the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the power to travel further to meet Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty gave our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with a rare gift of ‘Fifty prayers’ on Shab-e-Miraj or Isra Night, which was later reduced to 5 daily prayers, which are farz to all Muslims. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a particular relationship with Allah Almighty, and it was Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who first beheld the Creator of the Universe “ALLAH” during Shab-e-Miraj.
